You're My Only Star

Xia Yu's eyes were slightly watery as she tried to bear with the pain. Once Huo Yun Chen released her hand, Xia Yu quickly rubbed at the spot where he had held her earlier.

She came over, wanting to give him a surprise, but she did not expect that she had almost gotten hurt herself. If Huo Yun Chen had exerted a little more strength, perhaps her hand would break.

Noticing what had happened, Huo Yun Chen quickly went over to her side and grabbed her hand again. "Does it hurt?" He looked at her with worry. "I'm sorry. I didn't know that it was you. I thought someone had entered my room, wanting to harm me."

Xia Yu hissed when he touched a spot.

Instantly, Huo Yun Chen's face turned pale. He did not dare to hold her hand tighter. "Should we go to the hospital? Hold on. I'll go and call Lin You to call a doctor over."

Before the man could turn and leave, Xia Yu grabbed his sleeve, stopping him. "It's not that serious. It will be fine after putting on some ice."

"Are you sure?"

Xia Yu nodded. "Trust me."

The man quickly called the receptionist and asked them to deliver some ice. While waiting for them to come over, Huo Yun Chen continued to stare at her wrist with worry.

The hotel staff came over in less than ten minutes to deliver the ice they requested. Huo Yun Chen wrapped the ice with a towel and helped to press them on her wrist.

"Does it still hurt?" Huo Yun Chen asked for the nth times.

Xia Yu did not know whether she wanted to laugh or cry.

The pain had stopped before the hotel staff came to deliver the ice pack. But a certain someone was too anxious that he had refused to listen.

His concern warmed her heart. "Well, if you kissed the spot, it will stop hurting."

Huo Yun Chen did a double-take when he heard her words. After a while, he let out a sigh and a warm smile appeared on his face. He lowered his head and pressed his lips on her wrist.

He realized that he was too worried that he might accidentally hurt her wrist that he had stopped thinking about the most important question.

Her face flushed. Xia Yu only wanted to tease him after seeing the serious look on his face. She did not expect that he would really kiss the spot.

"That's right..." Xia Yu looked up and smiled. "Huo Yun Chen, congratulations on completing your tour." She leaned over and pressed her lips on his cheek.

"Why are you here? When did you come over?" Huo Yun Chen said as he put the ice pack into a small basin.

"I know that it's the final day of your concert and decided to come and watch," Xia Yu said.

Huo Yun Chen looked at her in surprise. "You were watching?"

"Mhm... I was in the front seat. VVIP." Her heart almost burst as she sat there to fangirl over her boyfriend.

His brow furrowed. They were so close but he did not see her in the crowd.

"It was the first time that I have watched your concert at such a close distance," Xia Yu said. "You were really good-looking." The smile on her face faded. "I also watched as you were hugging that fan." Xia Yu watched him intently, examining his expression.

Huo Yun Chen swallowed. "She's only a fan. It was a last-minute event. The organizer suddenly wanted to hold a lucky draw and told me to at least give her a hug."

Xia Yu laughed as she looked at his pale expression. "I'm playing with you. I know that you only do that because it was requested. You don't have to explain."

He watched her for a while and pulled her into his arms. "Are you jealous?"

"Hmm..." She nodded. She could not lie. "A little bit."

Her answer made him chuckle. Huo Yun Chen leaned over and pressed his lips against hers gently as if to coax her. "When did you come over? Why didn't you tell me anything?"

"It was supposed to be a surprise. I asked Xing Xing to help me get a ticket," Xia Yu said and told him about how she had planned this surprise with the help of her friend. Fortunately, her mentor had allowed her to take a few days off.

"Later, Brother Xiang helped me to get the key to your room," Xia Yu admitted. "I thought that I could give you a surprise. I didn't think that you would be very alert."

Huo Yun Chen had not expected that his manager would play a role in this surprise.

"Then, how long are you staying?"

"I'll have to head back to F Country the day after tomorrow."

"So quick?" Huo Yun Chen could not hide his disappointment that his girlfriend would not be able to stay with him a while longer. 

"I heard that you would be going back to Capital City tomorrow. I'll go with you. Brother Xiang had already arranged for me to act as one of your staff."

His hold around her waist tightened. It was as if he was not willing to let her go anytime soon. He wanted to ask her to stay longer but knew that she was still busy with her internship.

Fortunately, Xia Yu's internship would only be for a year. He really could not imagine being too far for a longer time. A long-distance relationship is definitely not easy.

Xia Yu's phone rang at this time. Her eyes widened when she saw the notification, however, she quickly hid her face before her boyfriend would notice anything. Xia Yu quickly swiped her finger on the screen and turned to Huo Yun Chen again. "Huo Yun Chen."

"Hmm?" He watched her inquiringly when she started to flash him a playful smile. "What's wrong?"

Xia Yu leaned to press her lips on his cheek again. Then, she draped her arms around his shoulder. "It's a new day. Happy birthday."

Huo Yun Chen was startled as he had forgotten about his birthday again.

He then understood that Xia Yu had come over to see him celebrate his birthday together.

His lips tilted up as he tightened his arms around her waist. He pulled her closer and started to kiss her lips again.. As they did not have a lot of time together, he should not waste them doing anything else other than accompanying her.
