Chapter 220 - 220 Paying Off A Little Debt (1)
220 Paying Off A Little Debt (1)
Amy held her breath as she waited for Blake’s answer. She didn’t care if he would visit her once per two months or even once a year, as long as he promised to see her from time to time, then she would be content. She knew how happy her brother was in his new home, but she just wished with all her heart that he would not forget her and leave her behind alone.
However, before Blake could utter his answer, Amy noticed the change in Blake’s eyes and quickly followed where his eyes were looking toward. Blake’s gentle eyes had suddenly turned very sharp as if he wanted to cut someone by using his glare alone.
Amy turned her head and finally saw three familiar figures. Three boys about Blake’s age were currently walking straight toward them, and she recognized their faces. She didn’t know them from her school, instead, she recognized them as students from Blake’s school. Particularly the ones that were responsible for bullying Blake the most.
In fact, the three of them were the same people that the two of them met and had pummeled Blake before Blake suddenly disappeared.
“Brother, hurry, let’s go!” Amy started dragging Blake’s hand, trying to get him away from the three people before they were too close for the two of them to run away.
However, Amy noticed that no matter how hard she pulled on Blake’s hand, Blake remained unbudging, his feet firmly planted onto the ground and his eyes completely locked onto the three figures.
Amy knew from his stories that Blake did some kind of training to make himself stronger, but no matter what kind of training it was, without using magic, Blake would not be able to fight equally against the three people if they used their magic.
And with those three people, Amy was certain that they would use magic. They even used it before when Blake was powerless and only tried to run away. If they saw Blake trying to fight back, then Amy could only imagine them being even more ruthless.
Seeing Blake getting hurt right in front of her eyes once was enough, she didn’t want it to happen again. If it turned into another fight, she would not stay idle this time. Even though she knew that she would not be as strong as the upperclassmen that had learned more about magic than her, she wouldn’t let her brother get hurt again.
.....
But still, she tried her best to make sure the fight didn’t happen in the first place.
“Brother, please, don’t hurt yourself… We need to get out of here…” She pleaded, putting Blake’s hand in both of hers, and looked into his eyes, hoping that he would not confront the three people.
Even Blake that was already thinking about paying back what they made him felt back then stopped for a second to look at her when such genuine concern and worry touched him.
Blake’s murderous eyes then softened, his flat lips curled up to a slight smile as he spoke to Amy, “Don’t worry, Amy. I would never get hurt by those guys again.”
After saying those words, Blake gently released his hand from Amy’s and caressed her cheek, “Wait a little while okay?” before he walked forward, meeting the three people in the middle.
Under normal circumstances, Amy would not let Blake go just like that as no matter how convincing he was, Amy did not want Blake to get beaten up again. But this time, Amy froze in place as he felt an unknown feeling from Blake. He knew Blake better than anyone, his body language, the way he talks, the vibes that he gives off when he was feeling something.
And now, not only did she believe every single one of Blake’s words saying he would not be hurt at all, but she also thought that Blake could even beat the three people up.
So when Blake walked forward without a single stutter in his steps and his head held high, Amy just stood back and watched him with both of her eyes wide open.
His gentle eyes had long disappeared ever since he took the first step toward the three people and they had now returned back to their original state. Cracking both of his fists and shoulders, Blake was ready.
The three people in front of him, Jake and his lackeys, were probably the ones that were responsible for him being transported to the demon world, although he didn’t know whether it was true or not.
He only remembered the insane amount of hatred that he felt at that time. It seems to be directed and caused by Jake as the one who had kicked him down to the ground and bothered him and Amy. But Blake knew that the hatred that he felt was the powerlessness that he had in him.
His hate to the world was channeled to the bully that had bothered him for he didn’t know how long.
Even though he hated his own powerlessness more than anything, Jake played a huge role in making that hatred appear and bloom in the first place. Making him pay a little for what he felt all this time would only be reasonable.
“Hey, dud! Good to see you here! Where have you been all this time? Skipping school and stuff, we missed you, you know?” Jake waved his hand with a smile on his face. Of course, it was not a genuine smile.
Blake ignored the boy and continued walking forward.
“Why are you ignoring me, huh? Do you have something to say, dud?”
“Shut up,” Blake replied as the two were only a couple of meters away.
“You… You dare talk to me like that!? You useless dud! Come here and let me teach you some sense!”
“It seems disappearing for a few months makes you forget where you stan-”
Jake could not even finish his words as he suddenly felt his stomach twist violently, his knees buckled as he couldn’t endure the pain that his stomach felt.
With only a meter away from the two of them, Blake took a firm step forward, and with his enhanced body, there was no way for Jake to react to him as his fist planted itself on Jake’s stomach.
However, a single punch to the stomach was undoubtedly not enough for Blake to vent, he still had a lot more to do. Things that Jake would definitely not enjoy.
