Chapter 221 - 221 Paying Off A Little Debt (2)
221 Paying Off A Little Debt (2)
With his fist planted firmly on Jake’s stomach, Blake easily made the boy bow down and fall to his knees. His physique stat had increased by quite a lot despite him not throwing as many unused status points to it compared to his spirit stat.
His spirit stat was so high that no native demon in the first human realm would be able to defeat him one on one, even the high-leveled demonic beasts. Blake would only need either a well-planned action using his abundant nether and rune formations or a good opportunity to cast a second realm darkness elemental spell if his opponent proved to be tougher than expected.
While his physique stat was not at that level, even on the very weak side compared to a physical type demon powerhouse like his gorilla best friend, it was more than enough for Blake to deal with a 15-year-old human kid.
Without magic enhancements, there would be no way for human kids or even ordinary human adults to be able to defeat him in physical prowess alone. Just like now, without Blake putting 100% of his strength into the punch, it was more than enough to put Jake kneeling on the ground.
Seeing their leader had been attacked out of nowhere, the two lackeys didn’t just stand back and joined the fight. Or at least they tried to do it.
Blake didn’t stay idle after throwing his first punch. He pivoted his feet and took another step forward to get close to the two background characters that he didn’t even care to remember their names.
One kick to the right and one to the left with about 70% of his strength was more than enough for him to deal with the two lackeys as they found their thigh was kicked so hard that they couldn’t support their own weight anymore.
Right after Blake dealt with the two boys, his sharp ears suddenly heard incomprehensible words from his back, the place where Jake had kneeled before.
‘Tch. He’s trying to cast a spell.’
.....
Compensating a proper form and the power of it, Blake focused on speed only and used his foot to kick the side of Jake’s head.
‘Whoops, I guess he wasn’t done with his chanting,’ Blake smirked as his feet slammed against the boy’s head and stopped whatever words or gibberish coming out of his mouth.
With the speed that he had thrown his foot at, Jake wasn’t able to finish chanting the words that were needed for the humans to manipulate mana, and thus he failed at casting his spell.
Blake had never made any proper contact with human magic before, the only kind of contact that he had was when some kids used their magic to give their bodies light enhancement to either throw him around or beat him up, so Blake didn’t know the extent of their real power.
If the kids were holding back all this time and the enhancement had actually carried even more boost in power, enough to handle his increased physique stat, then it would be trouble for Blake since he didn’t have any martial arts knowledge thus he would need to use his spells to win the fight.
Which would not be good as he then would not only reveal his real ability but also his real appearance.
“It’s not courteous to use magic with someone who can’t use them, you know?” Blake said as he slowly walked towards Jake.
After getting a sudden head kick, of course, Jake would feel his head dizzy and he was barely able to keep himself from falling unconscious. His body had been strengthened by a mana circulation training, but he still felt the pain from Blake’s attacks to be unbearable.
His mind was in a state of shock as he could never imagine that someone that had been a dud for his entire life and always stood beneath him would suddenly bite back at him and actually defeat him.
He used to be feared by that person, but now, that person was currently standing tall in front of him, while he himself was lying on the ground, trying his best to shake off the dizziness in his head and the pain in his stomach.
“You… How can you do this…?” Jake muttered as he looked at Blake’s face, which also looked at him with disdainful eyes as if he was worth nothing.
Blake kept his mouth shut and just stared silently at the person who had been bullying him for the past years he spent at his school. He couldn’t believe that he had been put down and beaten up by such a weak kid that even the meager physical boost that he had after eating some souls was more than enough to deal with the bully.
‘My past self was really pathetic…’ He thought to himself as he kept his look of disdain both towards his past self and the person in front of him.
“You dare to ignore me now!? Just because you learned how to fight a little you think you are better than me!? You will be dead if I use magic, you useless d-!”
“Use it then.” Blake cut Jake’s words short as he now looked at the desperate little boy with a smile on his face.
Hearing Blake’s words Jake was stunned for a second before he quickly went into chanting, trying to cast a physical enhancement strength to be able to keep up with Blake.
But before Jake was able to finish his chanting, his throat abruptly stopped spouting out the chants as a scream replaced it and filled both Jake’s entire mouth and their surroundings.
Blake had actually used 90% of his power to stomp on Jake’s shin, making sure he felt the sturdy bone breaking underneath his feet.
As he heard the scream, Blake’s curled-up lips opened up even more. The boy’s scream was as beautiful as an orchestra, and Blake wanted to hear more of it.
It reminded him a little of the screams of the demons that were put inside his darkness binding and darkness spike spell combination, and made him wonder, ‘How sweet would his soul taste?’ as he looked at the screaming little boy in front of him.
Feeling the scream had died down a little, Blake raised his feet once again, this time, aiming it at Jake’s other leg.
