Chapter 117: Chapter 117 – Breeze’s Villain Arc Wicked End [Final]
In the ghost state, Max could do something that a normal player usually couldn't do. That was getting closer to an Infected without getting attacked.
As someone who started this horde, he thought it would be fun to have a front seat while watching StoneSword and Flexy get trampled over by the zombies and Infecteds. It was his villainous act, so he would act like an evil lord, even if that was cringeworthy.
(Waahahaha! Die die die die! Going on the roof won't save you, Flexy!!)
He got too excited.
— Go!! DIE DIE DIE!
— It's a massacre! Villain Breeze is on the move
— Looking at him like this, his face really fit to be a villain
— He has talent… The acting company need to see this!
— Huahahaha! The Blood God has awakened! The seal in my right arm has loosened! It's… requiem!
— It's the sound of silence
Standing on top of the hunched giant Infected's head, Max spread his arms and laughed maniacally. His lips were stretched from ear to ear, resembling a clown smile. His ethereal, ghostly state only made his figure more ominous.
He was looking at the three people on the roof, who seemingly prepared themselves for their last effort to survive.
(Look at those trash! They are not looking great! Hahaha, has hope escaped your grasp? Go, my army! Flatten the mall and those men while you're at it!)
— He should play Villain's Apocalypse next
— Nothing beats a villain when they are about to win
— They aren't your army, they are enemies! Wake up, Breeze!
— lolol. I choose you, Hunched Giant! Use trample!
— People: "You and what army?" Breeze: "Heh, try me."
Max sat down on the giant's head, enjoying the moment. He tried hard not to fall, which was a bit difficult. The horde had reached the mall, and the zombies ran inside when they saw the group of three.
There was no way out. Death was the only choice.
Lily suddenly stepped forward at that moment, much to everyone's surprise. She snatched a knife from Flexy, who was still perplexed by the situation.
Following that, she walked to the edge without hesitation.
"H-Hey! What are yo–"
"Lil–"
Before the orange-haired streamer or her brother could stop her, Lily jumped from the roof.
— Wha!?
— What the…
— Did she just jump?!
Max was also surprised that he jumped up, standing in attention. He watched Lily's figure falling free to the ground, head first, without any sign of her doing anything.
(What the heck is she doing?) His voice booming with a bit of distortion from the ghost state effect.
It wasn't according to plan. But what she did next was surprising. She screamed loudly.
"Haaa!"
Responding to her voice, Turret suddenly burst through the wall and appeared. Her eyes were focused, and she spun her body midair. Using the handgun, she shot 3 bullets straight to the Infected's head.
The hard skull stopped the bullets, but that was enough to hurt and distract it, making it wriggle uncontrollably and fall to the ground.
Lily used Turret's body to jump once more toward the hole created earlier, rolling on the ground of the second floor that was already filled with enemies.
She was immediately attacked by them and tried her hardest to survive inside the mall alone.
Turret fell into the ground, head first, and died.
Watching what unfolded before his eyes, Max smiled.
(Woah, that was sick!) He commented. (That was pretty clean for an unplanned move. She's betting on Turret showing up to respond to her voice. And that roll… Hmm, I would give her 50 points. If she protected her head with her hands, she would get 80 points.)
— What are you, her teacher?
— This guy made this commotion and had the time to judge others…
— Well, this commotion is the end of his villain arc. Besides…
— It will be over soon.
— They have reached the mall!
The horde, as they called it, had reached the mall. The Hunched Giant stopped a bit away and let the other normal zombies and Infected enter first. It actually stopped right in front of Flexy and StoneSword, making it as if they were looking at each other.
The giant did nothing but stare, though. Max was a bit confused, but the answer came from the chat.
— The giant won't be able to attack when two people are looking at it. It's a shy Infected.
— A shy giant. It's official name is Shy. Well, you know? Giants are shy
— This freaking giant monster has a real weakness where it can't attack when watched by two or more people!
(What a joke!) Max shouted loudly on top of the hunched giant Infected.
With a more than 20-meter-tall body and a scary-looking face, it couldn't attack when being watched by people?
It actually wasn't hunched because of its bad posture and the two giant balls on its shoulder, but because it didn't want its face to be seen.
(What's next? A really scary Infected in the form of a white furball? Or a mimic who can imitate a player's appearance and voice? Maybe even a walking trash can?)
— That also exist in the forest area
— Confirmed existence. Both of them
— The developer in this game has brain damage for real for real
— lmao, you guessed one of the rarest Infected perfectly. And yes, the developer is weird
— Mimic is a real Infected. You can find them in a Ruin
— Doing a solo in this game is like playing an RPG game in nightmare mode
— The trash can is giving me nightmare. Those shiny legs are... damn it! Don't make me remember it!
Max wanted to curse now. Was it the developer's fault, or did they just have such a wonderful idea out of nowhere?
'The games in this world have too many twists.'
He looked at the situation once more. The zombies on the second floor had managed to defeat Lily. She couldn't survive anymore when she used all the ammo in her handgun.
At the same time, a Rocket appeared on the roof. It threw a ventilation box toward the two guys standing nervously on the edge, still looking at the hunched giant.
When they heard something big hurling in their direction, they had no choice but to turn around. That sealed their fate.
The giant was able to move. Its eyes shone brightly in the dark. A heavy breath that was like a storm blew everything from its path away.
It raised its hand high. Due to its size, its movement looked pretty slow, but it was actually fast. When it reached the highest point, it brought its hand down toward the roof where StoneSword and Flexy tried to survive against many enemies.
They noticed the attack and looked up.
"Goddammit!"
"…"
Flexy cursed loudly while StoneSword seemed to have accepted his face. The hand hit them like a train wreck, crushing the mall in one go.
On top of the hunched giant's head, Max bowed to the camera with his hand on his chest and a bright smile. He was like an entertainer who had finished his masterpiece in front of a pretty important person.
(And that's the epilogue.) He said as his vision turned dark.
The next thing he saw was surrounded by three people, with Flexy cracking his fingers in front of him. He was in the shelter, and day time had arrived.
The orange-haired streamer looked at him with an unfriendly smile that represented all his emotions: anger, disappointment, disbelief, and happiness.
"Yo." He said in a low tone, "Any last word?"
Max looked at his friend before turning to Lily. She smiled at him and nodded. She had plenty of fun already.
Then, he turned to SwordStone. This man had no emotion at all.
"I'll leave the judgment to Flexy." He said.
That settled it.
Lastly, Max turned back to his friend and smiled.
"That was fun–"
That was his last word before he got punched in the face and blown away to the ground. He never rose up again, closing his eyes as if he died from it.
At long last, the villain was defeated.
— What an ending!
— Clap clap clap! That was an epic arc
— That was satisfying ending
