Greatest Streamer System

Chapter 84: Chapter 84 – Veteran and Newbie, Versus! [3]

Ba-dump!

A loud beat rang as the screen split into four, showing the participants' synchronization tests, including Flexy's show-off.

— As expected, it's among the noobies!

— BREEZE! GOD! PEAK GOAT! WOHOOO!

— Just delete Flexy! We don't need him! He can solo Fort Siege no problem!

— Lalala! Let's start the video!

Countdowns appeared on the footage, and it zoomed into Lily. The 350K viewers were watching curiously, and the chat stopped moving for a second.

Mr. Taka and the production crew observed the traffic. They were grinning when they saw that the viewer' count kept increasing. Not only that, but the concurrent viewers broke through 800K just right after they started the footage.

After all, the watch party viewers were linked to the total.

"Team Leader, this is…"

"Yeah." Mr. Taka nodded at his subordinates, "It's going really well."

The footage changed a few times, showing all the participants' amazing moments. However, everyone noticed that there were especially two streamers who were cut above the rest.

— Damn! Breeze is passing that laser easily. He didn't die!

— Lily!! Uwooogghh her movement! Look at that!

— It's clear now who broke the record. It's either Breeze or LilyPixel. Just look at them!

— Crazy! How the heck are they moving like that? That Breeze is just inhuman!

No one doubted their skill anymore. The earlier four footages now became only two, standing side by side, and were played simultaneously.

Seven minutes had passed, and it was clear who was faster among those two. Max had arrived at the tenth test while Lily was still on the ninth.

— Lily!! Beat Breeze! I beg you! Please… please beat him

— Cry more, BloodSucker!

— Go go Breeze go! – BloodSucker

Breeze's fans, especially those who followed him from the start, went crazy when they realized he was about to win. They believed in him. From the start, they didn't doubt that he told them the truth about breaking the record. Well… at least some didn't.

Both of them struggled in the last tests, dying a few times from the traps. On the screen, Max's movement was getting faster and faster each time he died, moving through the traps confidently without stopping.

Gravity wasn't even his enemy. He ran on the wall, jumping around, and even rolled to the ground to dodge anything. Lily's movement was less wasteful. But she was clearly slower than Max.

And after a few tries… a drumroll rang loudly. Max had arrived at the end and pressed the button, finishing the run magnificently.

Golden letters floated into the air.

[Final time: 00:13:51.]

[Final Time Worldwide Ranking: 1]

[Breeze!]

Seeing the text, the viewers went crazy.

— WOAAAHHHH!!!!

— GG!

— POG BREEZE! The GOAT! He's the f*cking GOAT!!

— GG! Sub 14 minutes! GODDAMN!

LilyPixel's run was skipped, and only her result was shown. 17 minutes 24 seconds. It was a magnificent run from her. According to the ranking, she was placed in the top 30 worldwide.

— GG!

— You've done well, Lily!

— That was an amazing run! Unfortunately, the other participant is just a monster!

— Yeah, he's inhuman!

"Hey, I am a human!" Max retorted after the chat, possibly his viewers, made fun of him. His expression was a sight to behold, and everyone laughed.

Everyone didn't move their gaze from their screen, though. As there was still one thing that was left to expose.

— How high is his SR, I wonder?

— Damn, this is making me nervous. Don't tell me that he's also Rank 1 and beat that person?

— You mean GOD? Nah, that man is just on another level.

— It makes me curious.

"It seems everyone is curious about their SR result," Evelyn said at the perfect moment, and once again, the camera showed her beautiful face.

"I need to ask you to be patient about that. We will share their SR together with the result of their run. Coincidentally, the Flexy and Breeze pair will go last, after the StoneSword and LilyPixel pair."

She smiled mischievously, teasing the viewers, who couldn't help but be curious about Max's result already.

Max looked at Evelyn and learned. He was amazed by how the professional handled things and thought that it might be useful in his streaming career in the future.

'Tease the viewers and don't give them what they want until we get what we want. Our method is similar, but she's using her charm well.' He thought. 'Nah, that won't work with me. It will look cringe.'

The production crew waved around instructions on a hologram screen. They asked Evelyn to move to the next program as the capsules were already prepared, and everything was ready. Doctor Ardi was also on standby to check their vitals.

Noticing the sign, Evelyn continued.

"Now then, let's get into the main segment! The first to have a run is the RoninKnight and MadLad pair. They will be given 2 chances to get their fastest run. Meanwhile, the remaining participants and I will give a live comment! Best of luck to the first pair!"

"Alright!!" MadLad jumped from his chair and raised his hands energetically. He winked at Evelyn, trying to show off, and turned to RoninKnight. "Let's do this, Ronin!"

"Let's do our best," RoninKnight responded with a simple nod.

The pair walked away toward the area where the VR capsules were prepared. Max watched them with a slight curiosity in his eyes. How well would they play? He didn't know as he never watched them before.

At that moment, he heard a really familiar sound.

Ding!

'Oh?!' His expression immediately brightened as his lips curled into a grin, confusing almost everyone noticing it.

However, Max didn't realize it, as his attention was focused on the window that only he could see.

<Quest:

- Surprise the World

A viral moment is needed by a streamer. If your aim is to become the greatest of them all, prove it to the whole world.

Set a magical record that no one would expect and etch your name in streaming history.

Finish the Fort Siege battle in under 45 minutes.

Progress: 0/1

Reward: A secure living quarter

Deadline: 2 Tries

Failure to complete this mission will result in the system not giving a quest and limiting your synchronization rate to 95% for a month.>

A seemingly impossible quest was given to him.

'45 minutes…'

That time frame sounded impossible. The current world record was 48 minutes and 32 seconds. Even with his new path, he could possibly only cut 2 minutes at most.

'It's a really hard quest.' He frowned. 'But the reward is... the biggest so far. And the failure punishment sounds not too bad. I can still move similarly to before with 95% SR. Though 1 month without a quest will probably make me miss the system.'

"What's wrong, Breeze?" Flexy whispered from behind, concerned, "Are you nervous and need to go to the bathroom? Don't worry. We will win this program and set a new world record. If we do it as well as yesterday, our victory is guaranteed." He sneered.

"Heh, you're right," Max responded, closing the window secretly by sweeping his hand.

Indeed, he just needed to do as well as yesterday. Flexy was also there to do it with him.

"Hey, Flexy. Let's aim for sub 44 minutes."

"That's ridiculous." The orange-haired streamer raised his voice slightly, but his lips curled up in amusement, "But it sounds interesting. Alright, let's aim for that, buddy."

Both of them fist-bumped with a big grin on their faces. Unknown to them, the camera took that action, and some female viewers went crazy and posted something in a rather secretive forum.
