William felt the World changing around him the moment the Superior Blessing Vein was absorbed, but he was too focused on the System notifications to pay much attention to the situation.

Not only had the System issued him much greater rewards than before, but it also automatically enhanced his new Celestial Talent to X-Rank. If he was still on Reius, William might have thought it was Christmas.

World Authority seems strong, but I don't quite understand it yet. What's the benefit of having two separate Worlds instead of a singular larger one?

-There are many benefits, but the two main ones are quite simple. First, each World will develop individually and at the same pace, meaning having two Worlds will allow you to increase your strength twice as fast, three will be three times the growth speed, and so on.

-Second, once the number of Worlds reaches a certain point, you can develop your own internal Solar System or Plane. At this point, almost no one in the same Realm will be able to compete with you unless certain conditions are met.

William's eyes gleamed when he realized what the System was saying. Efretta had said something before about this World being not fully developed. If that was the case, it could still grow further!

If I have both Reius and Efretta right from the start, won't I be entering the Celestial Planes with an insane advantage? I'm already strong compared to other Ascended Cultivators, but this will just be the icing on the cake!

I might even be able to fight against Cultivators in the Realm above Ascension! System, how does this Talent compare to the Cultivators in the Celestial Planes?

William ignored the mental waves of annoyance from the System and finally focused his attention on his surroundings. Absorbing the Superior Blessing Vein seemed to have triggered a chain reaction across the World, releasing massive shockwaves that changed the direction of the World's spin.

Day became night and night became day, shifting countless times until William channeled over a million of his Mana Reserves into Efretta's World Seed, focusing entirely on the Gravity Element. The time of day returned to normal, but an odd sensation forced him to look up.

There, he saw a pair of golden eyes that didn't belong to Cerulea. They were defined and just as beautiful as Cerulea's, but he could tell at a glance that they belonged to a male.

No words were said, but the eyes shifted direction before disappearing in an instant, leaving William confused as to what had just happened. He teleported to the core of the World to see Efretta, but she was already gone.

William felt a mix of anger and worry as he realized the Heavens might not have been targeting him, but Efretta this whole time. He opened his Life Domain and teleported to many locations across the World, finally heaving a sigh of relief when he sensed her on the Dragon Continent.

His relief only lasted a split second when he found her unconscious body lying on the ground. Her Mana signature was all over the place, and he could sense with his Cultivation that she was about to fall from the Ascension Realm into Tribulation Transcendence.

He hurriedly sat down cross-legged and used his Cultivation Technique to draw in Mana and refine it to match hers, then sent it into her body. Alas, he wasn't skilled enough and her body wouldn't accept the Spirit Qi, he hopelessly watched as she dropped into the Tribulation Transcendence Realm, all the way to the first stage.

He waited next to Efretta for hours, silently blaming himself for not coming by sooner.

-This is the backlash of the Technique she used; it's not your fault. There's nothing you could have done, and I already expected her to do this. She's not dying, so don't feel guilty.

William nodded. Why did she do it?

-To block the senses of the Heavens that were watching. She's given you a chance to Ascend without being tracked by them, you should be thankful.

What will happen to her? What if I leave her alone and she dies to something else?

-She won't, as long as you're fast enough. Efretta is your World now. If you consume it, the Heavens won't be able to peer into it anymore. They will lose all control, and you can keep her safe then.

Okay. But the Ascension Portals are under their control, right? How can I Ascend without them?

-Remember, the World automatically creates its own portals. Not all are controlled by the Heavens. Now go, before it's too late!

The System's sense of urgency pulled William into action.

He had originally planned to take the Starmetal Safe from the Gravitas Ruins and a few other things with him, but William decided it could remain here for the time being.

He wasn't at Efretta's previous level, so he might not be able to physically manifest and draw items out of the safe yet, but it would at least be protected in the Gravitas Ruins. Like the System said, there was no time to come up with a good solution, he at least had his personal Space Rings on him.

William teleported to the Providence Zone and sat down cross-legged to channel his Spirit Qi.
