Chapter 124 Motivation
Samuel was extremely nervous when he saw his Miss change to a vicious woman.
Every time he sees this change in his Miss, blood will be spilling all over the streets.
Nevertheless, he dared not disobey her orders and nodded his head instantly.
"Rest assured, I'll make sure to put this task the top priority to them," Samuel said, clearly unwilling to become a scapegoat of his Miss' anger.
"Tell them they're fired if they can't find out the events within 3 days," Griselda said coldly.
She was not going to keep incompetent people under her. They are paid a high salary and if they can't earn their keep, then they are disposable.
"Understood, Miss." Samuel wiped off some of the sweat on his forehead and ran back to the flying car. It was clear that he was in a rush to pass down the orders of Griselda to the subordinates.
Once Samuel was gone, Griselda looked around the apartment with an expressionless face.
Frankly speaking, the apartment was truly as rundown as proclaimed, but this had never affected Lei Zhen's emotions one bit.
Yet somehow he had managed to lose all of his cool within hours.
Originally, Griselda came here to scold Lei Zhen for abruptly logging off, but seeing him in such a state, all those scoldings she had in mind were thrown out of the window.
She only had worries and concerns for Lei Zhen now.
When a calm and collected person became so down to the point that they needed alcohol to fuzzy their mind, then it means that something was serious.
"Don't worry, Lei Zhen. Since you're my teammate now, then that means whoever messes you like this, means they are my enemy as well." Griselda muttered, walking to the kitchen area to find a basin.
After opening a few cabinets, she finally found a basin large enough to fill a good amount of warm water.
Filling three-fourths of the basin with warm water, Griselda carried it over by the bed and searched around for a towel, finding it in the bathroom.
Once that was done, she began wetting the towel and gently patting it around Lei Zhen's forehead. This was the most known method to soothe a drunk person down and it still worked to wonder.
Very soon, Lei Zhen regained consciousness as he felt a sharp pain in his neck and a headache.
He grunted for a while before opening his eyes, only to see Griselda by his side.
"T-This isn't Magnolia, right?" Lei Zhen asked, seemingly unable to discern why she was next to him.
"If this was Magnolia, then I would have killed you a million times out of rage considering that you would still respawn." Griselda clenched her fist, suppressing herself from smacking the crap out of him.
"And why is that?"
"..."
'Calm yourself, Griselda. He's in a bad mood already, so let's be the magnanimous person and let him go once.' Griselda thought to herself, resisting the urge to strangle him.
He got drunk and was about to create a mess. Yet he had the nerve to ask why she was here and why should he get beat up.
Nevertheless, Griselda calmed herself and explained the situation, including his sudden change of behavior.
"I-I was about to throw a punch at Samuel, the driver?" Lei Zhen held a look of astonishment when he heard about it. Samuel never did anything wrong, so there shouldn't be a reason to attack him.
"Look at you. Poor alcohol tolerance and still drinking beer. Just what happened to you that caused you to lose all your senses and mind to be so foolish?" Griselda asked, finally getting to the main point.
Of course, she could have waited 3 days to get the news, but nothing was better than hearing the whole story from the person himself.
And hearing that question, a bitter smile appeared on Lei Zhen's face.
"Well… I kind of lost my best friend from childhood and the next time we meet, we might become a foe." Lei Zhen said, feeling down again.
Every time he thought about this, he would recall their past when they would fool around together and gather at events.
Even when he experienced the car crash 10 years ago, Shan Lin was there with him, providing support to him.
However, when he heard Tang Qiaolian say his father became a major shareholder of the Lei Enterprise, it was like there was a splinter stuck inside his skin, causing him an infuriating amount of pain.

"I see… a loss of your best friend is indeed possible to cause your emotion to waver. But you still shouldn't try to use the foolish method of having alcohol to cloud your mind." She scolded harshly.
"Alcohol is only a temporary solution and not a real solution. Since you lost your best friend, then it's best to focus on your goal even more."
"My goal?"
"Yes, your goal. Don't tell me you have no goal at this age?"
Lei Zhen remained silent, clearly unwilling to disclose his real goal which was revenge.
Enduring 10 years of humiliation, Lei Zhen wanted nothing more than to rip the guts of those responsible for the car accident and those who conspired to acquire the Lei Enterprise.
Not a single person involved in those would be left alive.
Meanwhile, Griselda saw real anger in his eyes and realized he was definitely hiding something far deeper than what was seen on the surface.
Despite that, she wasn't angry nor disgusted by his actions. Everyone has their own secret and she wasn't excluded either.
"Lei Zhen, I suggest you get over this dumb depression and get back to your senses. No one in this world would care if you are depressed or not. Only when you become successful will people start looking at you." Griselda said, giving him some sort of motivational speech.
Hearing her motivational speech from her, Lei Zhen began to laugh wildly.
"Haha, you're right, Griselda. Why should I stay depressed when the world wouldn't stop running just because of me?" He said, flashing his signature smirk.
