Chapter 182 - 182
Josh was lying on the sail of the battleship. The marines had come to pick him up for the Marineford war against Whitebeard. Josh chuckled, his eyes were still closed.
'Yeah, war.' Josh's lips twitched, as he was trying to hold his laugh.
It would be fun to see the expression on the faces of the marines.
Josh closed his eyes as he looked at the fading stars. Once it is the morning, he will arrive at Marineford.
"We arrived." Said a marine.
Josh opened his eyes and landed on the deck. He looked at everyone. The marines seemed to be anxious, given their facial expression.
"What happened?" He had to ask.
The Vice-Admiral rubbed his throat and said. "A bad incident occurred last night in Impel Down."
"And?"
"Many dangerous pirates had escaped. Impel Down was destroyed, and if not for the three admirals, the situation wouldn't be controlled." The Vice-Admiral clenched his fists.
The worse criminals in history had escaped and fought the marines the agents of world government. Even though the good side was able to regain control, they had taken a very strong strike to their forces. Not to mention the very strong criminals are free now.
Josh yawned as he walked to the edge of the battleship.
"I see. Did Ace Escape."
"He did." The Vice-Admiral said.
Josh turned his head to the marines. Although they seemed to be frustrated, Josh could tell they felt the otherwise. They were more relieved that Ace had escaped.
'They fear Whitebeard… Guess they are the type to fight for salary but not for what they believe.'
"So… you shall take me back," Josh said. "I need a ride back home."
"It's not up to me. Speak my supervisors." The Vice-Admiral said walking down from the warship.
The coward marines drew a bold expression on their faces as they walked back.
Josh put his hands on his pocket, lowering his head and walking down.
Josh an army made of hundred of thousands of elites, all of them were standing, disappointed. The giants had that visible on their faces.
'They are thanking god secretly.'
Josh rubbed his chin as he walked among the army of the navy, who made his way. Josh saw Hancock waving her hand at him, happy to see him. Josh waved his hand back and walked to the line where the Warlords were standing. Hancock hugged him and cuddled him as usual, kissing his face while others were looking.
"What a shame," Doflamingo muttered as he was staring down. "And here I was excited to fight the old man."
Mihawk seemed to be disappointed as well that Whitebeard wasn't going to show up.
Josh lowered his head. "My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined."
"Oh, Joshy! Don't be. I'm here…" Hancock wrapped her hands around his shoulder and hugged him.
The people around them rolled their eyes.
"So, you are disappointed?"
Everyone made a way to the man who was walking in Josh's direction.
Doflamingo giggled a bit, and Hancock frowned.
Josh turned his head to the 3 meters tall man. Akainu stood in front of him. Even though there was no magma around him, one can easily tell that his temperature is high.
Resisting the urge to laugh, Josh let a long sigh. Given the expression of Akainu, it seems that he isn't happy about what happened. Akainu had fought the criminals last night with the other admirals. They, with difficulty, could get the order back. However, the most important prisoner, the key to end the Great Pirate Era, the son of Pirate King, had escaped. All had happened because of one little pirate who had attacked the economy of the world. Now, the Pirate Era got worse with the pirates getting free.
"Yeah…" Josh answered Akainu. "Having to move in this cold breeze gave me the urge to warm up. But I guess there is no war to warm me up."
"I can warm you up…"
Hancock said with a sweet tone.
Josh ignored her as he was making an eye-contact with Akainu.
The most disappointed, angry one was the mad dog. Anyone with a little mastery over Observation Haki can tell what Akainu is feeling.
Akainu shook his head. "You can still warm up your muscles."
"Really?" Josh scoffed.
"You said you want your sword," Akainu replied. He shook his head to the left. "Let's go, to a place no one bother us."
"I see. Never thought you would give such a gentle gesture."
"You'll never guess."
It's easy to say that Akainu couldn't tell what he want directly. But he believed that Josh can understand him. After all, Josh's sword was on Akainu's back.
"Sweety, you can go ahead to Water 7. I'll catch up to you." Josh told Hancock.
Hancock put her hands on his shoulder. "Are you going to be alright?"
"What do you think."
Hancock bent a bit and kissed him on the lips. "Don't take a long time."
"Hmm…" Josh nodded.
"Hurry up. I don't have all day." Akainu hissed as he gave them his back and started walking away.
Hancock saw how Josh smiled. That was the most genuine smile he had ever had. He had never smiled like that, not even when he had sex.
Josh turned and left, standing next to Akainu. The two weren't looking at each other.
"Seems I'm not the only one in a bad mood."
"You don't say." Akainu clicked his tongue. "Good job surviving until now."
"You too, old man," Josh said. From the thin air, the great sword appeared on his back.
"Who are you calling old man, young brat."
"Sorry, my bad." Josh apologised. "I meant, old dog."
"Your stink tongue," Akainu muttered, not showing an expression on his face. "Use it as much as you want, because you won't have it when it's over."
"Admiral!" A vice-admiral made the military salute as he stood in front of Akainu, waiting for an order.
"No one follows us, that's an order," Akainu said, the two of them walking forward.
Josh turned to the Vice-Admiral, pointed his finger, and said. "You can send a few chicks. Only if they are hot."
"Hurry up."
"Shut your mouth, old man."
The two of them reached the back of the Marineford. Akainu got in a boat, and he put his leg on a metal platform. Josh got in too and sat down. Akainu's leg turned into magma as he took a compass from his coat.
Josh could read the mind of the dog.
Akainu and Josh are going to an isolated island, used for elite training, to fight while no one interferes. It seems that Akainu had taken things personally.
Josh didn't say a word and sat down. The travel time would be good to get a few items from the system. However, Josh couldn't risk using the future vision to pick us specific items, as it will weaken him.
'Let's leave it to fate.' He opened the system and he made the draw option. 'Hold on...'
