"Okay, I will leave you all young ones to enjoy the rest of the night yourselves," King Louis said as he stood up to exit the dining hall along with the Queen.

Everyone in the room also got up from their respective chairs and bowed down to the King and the Queen, and bid them goodnight.

And the King turned to look at the Crown Prince and then asked, "Make sure to entertain the guests well. I will leave them in your care now."

"Yes, Your Majesty. I will make sure that they will have an enjoyable night. I will report to you in the morning tomorrow." The Crown Prince gave a low bow to the monarchs.

And after the King and the Queen left the hall, Vlad turned to look at everyone who was left behind in the room and then said, "So, shall we get the party started? I have prepared some fine liquors for the men and old grape juice for the ladies."

Before Vlad or anyone else could say another word, Victoria clenched her fists and then demanded an answer for this unfair treatment from her brother, "Why should the ladies settle for some grape juice when the men are being served liquors?"

Vlad laughed at that sudden outburst from his sister and tried to make her understand, "Victoria, I meant wine when I said 'old' grape juice. But if you want to drink the bitter and burning liquor then I shall offer it to you. You don't have to be so mad…"

Ariel and Damien glanced at each other and gave meaningful glances.

Though Victoria's facial expression told that she was angry beyond reason, she wasn't emitting even a percent of the aura that was flowing out of her at the beginning of the dinner.

"Alright everyone, let's move to mine and Joyce's cozy place. I have arranged the after-dinner enjoyment there," Vlad said and then gestured for his guests to follow him.

Joyce walked towards Ariel along with Niylah by her side, and then she held Ariel's arm. "Come, let's go and have some fun time," she happily followed her husband with her cousins on either side of her.

Ariel looked back at Damien while being dragged away by Joyce.

And Damien glanced at Kenneth and then whispered while pointing his brows at Vlad, "Will you tell him that we need to do some security checks before we do anything?"

Kenneth gave a nod to Damien and then hastily sprinted and stood in front of Vlad.

Vlad almost got startled when Kenneth suddenly stood in front of him. But he instantly smiled and asked Kenneth, "Hey, you wanted to walk together?"

Kenneth shook his head and then leaned forward to whisper into Vlad's ear, "Something seems really suspicious here. Ariel was asking if she could call her father to confirm that everything is safe here."

Vlad furrowed his brows and asked skeptically, "You're not implying that I didn't take enough safety measures, are you?"

"No, that's not it. They suspect the involvement of someone way beyond our reach. They might be targeting Ariel. So, she wants to summon her father here. Will you ask everyone to stay put while she does that? And if possible, ask them to keep this a secret, even from your parents.

We don't want to spend time in unnecessary formalities."

When Kenneth said that there might be involvement of someone who was way beyond their reach, Vlad understood right away that he shouldn't stall them any further or try to stop them from doing whatever they thought was necessary. "Okay, if that ensures everyone's safety then please, feel free to go ahead."

Kenneth looked at Ariel and then gave her a nod.

Vlad walked towards the door of the hall and then whispered orders to the guards.

The guards immediately closed the tall door.

Joyce was noticing the unspoken exchanges between Kenneth and Ariel. So she glanced at Ariel and asked, "What's happening? Is there any problem?"

Ariel gave a nod and without wasting time in giving further explanation, she brought the pendant near her lips and kissed it.

While Ariel was doing that, Vlad ordered everyone to stay right where they were and also informed them that whatever was going to happen next was supposed to be kept confidential.

The hall was filled with curious murmurs and scared whispers. Nobody in the hall knew what was about to happen there except four of them.

After a few seconds, everyone was able to see a swirl of dark mist forming near Ariel.

Those from Wyverndale instantly knew what was about to happen there. Zach and Ramon also went and stood beside the Princesses.

All the others in the room felt chill shivers running down their spines. There was something about that mist that made them feel vulnerable and small.Nôv(el)B\\jnn

Victoria held her gown and then ran towards her brother to ask what was going on.

A tall figure slowly started to reveal from inside the storm of the mist. And when the mist finally settled down, all of them could see a tall and exquisitely handsome man standing with his head held high. He had an intense aura around him that overflowed with confidence and power.

All the Princes and Princesses, and Damien immediately bowed and curtsied to that man who looked like the incarnation of God.

Seeing that, all the maids, servants, and guards who were present in the hall also bowed to that mysterious man who had appeared out of that dark mist.

Some of them thought that it was black magic, some of them believed that they were in the presence of God, while the rest rightly guessed that the man who was adorning all black clothes was the infamous Devil Prince, the consort of Queen of Wyverndale.

Theodore looked around the room first. All he could see were the scared look on everyone's faces.

And then he looked at his daughter's distraught face.

"Dad..." Ariel let out a sigh of relief.

Theodore went and wrapped his daughter in a hug and then instantly asked, "Ary, what's wrong? Did someone try to hurt you?"
