Chapter 48: 48:Unexpected Rewards
Just as Evan expected, the public opinion turned around in his favour, booming the business exponentially.
Even though Valentine's Day had just passed, love was still in the air for many couples.
For others, it was a day of love to commemorate their partners. But for Evan, it marked the beginning of a business venture. The Valentine's boost along with the positive public opinion added as a bonus, led the sales to exceed everyone's expectations.
Everything was on the verge of stocking out and it wasn't even afternoon yet.
The three locations were packed throughout the day, with lines even stretching outside. Fortunately, guards had been hired to keep things in control.
Previously, the store's closure due to problems had created unrest among customers, both old and young, who craved the miraculous effect of tea and coffee.
So, a sense of uneasiness persisted during the time the store was briefly shut down, so as soon as it was opened, the customers ordered multiple batches at once.
Anticipating trouble from enthusiastic fans, Maria had hired a few security guards for protection. So this kept the few with ill intentions at bay and for those who couldn't be handled, the police were on Evan's side.
Although relying on the police wasn't always ideal, Max's presence ensured that any troublemakers were quickly scared off.

Pieces of information flooded Evan's mind even before Evan could react to the sudden surprise.
His vision blurred for a few moments as he absorbed and went through the knowledge.
The first piece of information was naturally the Spirit Vitalizing Tea recipe.
The amount of Spirit Vitality Tea had always been a limiting factor for the business. If they wanted to expand their shops to other regions and even countries, Even knew that he would need its production method.
However, just because he had the method now didn't mean that it would be easy.
Evan then looked at the description.
[ Spirit Vitalizing Tea, a species of tea that originated from the Celestial Cascade Galaxy's Dystopian Nexus, located at coordinates at Right Ascension (RA): 12h 36m 25.46s, Declination (Dec): +62° 14′ 31.4″, and calibrated to a redshift of 10.6034 ± 0.0013. This tea thrives in icy climates and relies on the fertile soils of its celestial terrain to unlock its full potential.]
[Chances of survival on earth:20%]
[Use the sample to grow the Spirit Vitalizing Tea plant.]
The data before his eyes gave Evan quite a headache. The tea was an entirely new species and was already hard to grow.
That meant that he needed to keep it under wraps, or else the whole world might just start growing it, and his Teabox cafe would lose its X-factor.
Next comes the lucky draw.
'System...'
[Just a small gift to encourage the host for clearing the quest with greater achievements. Moreover, this is the first main quest finished by the host.]
Just as he was frowning, Celina entered the room and noticed Evan in deep thought.
"Why are you frowning so much?"
Evan snapped out of his thoughts and replied, "I was reviewing things. I need to apply for a ton of licenses for my IT and software companies. I also need to buy servers and order high-class data capable."
"Then I also need to go through legal procedures. And since I am in Bombay, I should take a look at SEBI for a license in the future."
Hearing this, Celina chuckled, "That's how the work is. The higher the position, the more work one needs to do unless one just wants to hold shares and let others do your bid."
"Yeah, but I won't do that. I want to create a revolutionary product for people and take down the money-mongrel companies that are exploiting people with highly unjustified prices just because they have a monopoly," Evan said with a determined expression.
He always used to pray for someone's help when he was at the orphanage, so now that God had made him capable, shouldn't he do things he wished for?
_____
At Biswas Enterprises.
Darpan Biswas sat at his desk, surrounded by numerous papers and the hum of the office.
With all his savings, he first opened a school for rich kids, which led to the creation of others.
Slowly, he entered the education business and finally, Knoxx University got a semi-governmental status.
He had paid a hefty sum to achieve this by aligning with the local minister and ruling party to his side.
This way, he finally built Biswas Enterprises, which had institutions in 5 states, bringing his net worth to $ 150 million USD.
After spending a long time in the education sector and investing in other ventures, he finally found his next opportunity.
What he was interested in wasn't the Tea Box Cafe itself but rather in the recipe of products they sold. He was astonished that the tea and coffee they used came from a local shop.
So, the question was, how were they able to create such an effect?
Just then, he heard a knock and upon granting permission, his secretary entered, looking uneasy.
Biswas stared at her face and then let his gaze drift down towards her neckline then cleavage.
The secretary blushed to see his gaze.
"Sir, I have troublesome news."
"What is it?" he asked in a deep voice.
"The sales of Teabox cafes, which had gone down, have now shot up. According to the people we sent there, it is packed all the time. As for our attempts to create trouble, some were thwarted by the bodyguards, while some of our operatives were arrested."
Biswas had numerous personnel keeping tabs on them and even tried to bribe the workers to buy information, but there was nothing substantial.
Facing a dead end, he finally reached Evan but that brat didn't seem to give him any face.
Biswas had expected him to grovel before him once he offered the money, but he didn't.
And with such sales, it was unlikely for him to sell it and shoot himself in the foot unless he was an idiot.
"If we keep on creating trouble by sending people, someone with a loose lip might reveal something or the other about us," the secretary suggested, relaying everything.
"Hmm!" he nodded with a grave tone and asked for other details like prying into their supply channels.
"We can't disrupt the channels since they aren't buying things from a big distributor but are sourcing things locally. If we close down one supplier, they might look for others. After all, we can't stop everyone."
Darpan's expression darkened as he listened to her carefully.
He continued doing so intently, nodding occasionally while absorbing the information.
After the secretary finished, he leaned back in his chair, steepling his fingers beneath his chin, "You can leave. Also, keep a tab on it."
Once she left, Darpan fell into deep thought.
After pondering for a few moments, he finally sighed.
"It seems I have to resort to trickery and violence. Evan, you can't blame it on me. After all…"
"Everything in this world is business."
