The rest of their journey to the studio ended in silence.

When she looked up again, Song Xing Xing realized that they have already arrived at the studio. Lu Xun had parked his vehicle at the side door again to let her enter the studio without being noticed.

Initially, she wanted to tell him to drop her a few blocks away but her mind was somewhere else.

"I will come over and pick you up after work, alright?"

Hearing his voice, Song Xing Xing quickly turned around and shook her head. "You don't have to pick me up after work."

His eyes turned a little darker. "Why not?"

The thought that this girl had changed her mind so quickly had made him upset. She had agreed to give him a chance. But what if she had changed her mind and thought that he was not worth it?

Song Xing Xing saw the change in his expression and knew that he had misunderstood her. "It's not what you think. I'm heading to my cousin's place after this. My cousin, Song Yi is going to pick me up at the studio later."

His expression turned a little better upon hearing her words. 

"It's my sister-in-law's birthday. My cousin invited me to join them for a meal. Of course, I have to attend."

"Where will you be going?"

Song Xing Xing shrugged. "I don't know. My cousin had not said a word."

Lu Xun chuckled. "Alright. I know." He stretched his hand and patted her on her head. "Tell me when he picked you up. Or else, I would worry."

"Oh." Song Xing Xing nodded obediently. Then she quickly got off the car and entered the studio through the side door after saying goodbye to him. As soon as she entered the building, Song Xing Xing quickly ran to the window to watch as his car drove away.

A faint smile curled on her lips when she could no longer see his car anymore.

At this time, a hand-stretched up and rested on her shoulder. Song Xing Xing turned around and saw that Huo Yun Chen was standing behind her. Her eyes widened in surprised and Song Xing Xing was a little worried that Huo Yun Chen had seen what he was not supposed to see.

"When did you get here?" Song Xing Xing asked.

"Just now." Huo Yun Chen flashed her a smile. He tried to peek at her line of gaze but could not see anything. "What are you looking at?"

Song Xing Xing shook her head quickly. "Nothing. Just thought that the weather looked good today."

Huo Yun Chen peeked out the window again and nodded.

It was at this time that Song Xing Xing realized that Huo Yun Chen had talked to her in the studio. She looked around cautiously and heaved a breath of relief upon noticing that there was no one else.

Huo Yun Chen saw that she was being cautious and laughed. "Why are you so worried about being seen with me?"

Her movement halted. Song Xing Xing seemed to realize that these days, she had been sneaking around a lot. Just now, she was trying to avoid being seen together with Lu Xun. And now, it was with Huo Yun Chen.

When did her life get this exciting?

"Didn't I tell you? It would be troublesome if your fans see me with you together," Song Xing Xing said. "I valued my privacy a lot." She looked at the man again and noticed that his assistant was not with him. "Why are you here? Aren't you supposed to be filming at another location?"

Huo Yun Chen nodded. "Mmm… The producer asked me to come to look at some documents. I was on my way out when I see you sneaking around."

Song Xing Xing coughed. "What do you mean sneaking around?"

Huo Yun Chen narrowed his eyes as he looked at the girl suspiciously. However, after looking at her for a long time, he could not find out anything.

At this time, his phone started to ring. Huo Yun Chen glanced at his phone and he let out a long sigh. "Alright. I have to leave now." He watched as the girl nodded and said, "Little Star, let's team up with me on Arena tomorrow."

"Bei Yuan, go and find out where will Song Yi and his wife be having dinner tonight," Lu Xun said. "Don't let anyone know."

The assistant hesitated before he nodded.

Seeing that his boss continued to look at his computer again, Bei Yuan was suddenly curious about what his boss was doing. He pretended to organize the documents on his boss's desk and leaned over to look at the computer screen.

His legs suddenly turned jelly once he saw the article that his boss was reading.
