You're My Only Star

The next day, Assistant Bei Yuan picked up his boss from his residence and noticed that there was something different about him. His eyes brightened and it was as if he was unable to stop smiling.

This boss had even voluntarily bought him a cup of coffee!

Seeing the way he had acted, Bei Yuan was sure that something good had happened to his boss.

He continued to sip at his coffee slowly as he continued to observe his boss. 

The airport announced that the flight to Y City was going to depart soon.

Bei Yuan watched as his boss typed something on his phone. The smile on his face turned gentle as he put down his phone and slid it into his pocket. After pondering for a while, Bei Yuan decided to speak, "President Lu, did something good happen to you recently?"

"Un." Lu Xin nodded. "I finally had a girlfriend."

Bei Yuan stared back at his boss in surprise. Seeing that his boss had walked away, Bei Yuan quickly picked up his pace to catch up with his boss. "President Lu, congratulation!"

As long as his boss had a good relationship with Miss Song, then, he would also have a good life. Perhaps, one of these days, he could finally take a few days for vacation.

The flight arrived in Y City in less than two hours. 

Once they arrived, Lu Xun took the airport taxi and headed to the hotel to check in. Once he had entered the room, Lu Xun glanced at the time before he tapped on a name on his contact number.

The phone call was connected in just a few seconds.

"Have you arrived in Y City?" 

As he listened to Song Xing Xing's voice, Lu Xun was able to detect the shyness in her voice.

Just hearing the voice on the other line made his heart warmed. Suddenly, he wished that he had not arranged to head to Y City at this time. The girl had only agreed to date him yesterday. He should have spent his time with his girlfriend instead of coming to Y City.

Hmm… His girlfriend.

Those words gave him a really nice feeling.

He hasn't had a girlfriend for years and now that he was in a relationship, Lu Xun could not describe the feeling in his heart at the moment.

Lu Xun spent a few hours talking to Song Xing Xing about a lot of things. Their conversation varied from his flight to Y City to the weather. The content of their conversation was mostly nothing important but Lu Xun found that he enjoyed every second of it.

Seeing that it was almost time for him to meet his friend, Lu Xun finally ended the call. But not before he had promised his girlfriend that he would eat his meal properly.

Lu Xun changed his clothes before he went to the hotel's coffee house. When he arrived, his friend, Zhang Yu Han was already waiting for him. He waved his hand and walked over.

"Have you waited long?" Lu Xun asked as he walked over and pulled the chair to take a seat.

Zhang Yu Han flashed him a smile. "No. I have just arrived a few minutes ago. My office is just upstairs anyway."

A waiter walked over to their table and leave after he had taken their order of food and drinks. 

"Come over to my house for dinner tonight," Zhang Yu Han said. "My daughter would love to see you."

Lu Xun quickly agreed as s the little girl's face appeared on his mind. "Alright." It seemed that he had not seen that little girl, Li Xue for a while. 

"How long are you staying in Y City this time?"

"I'll go back once the discussion ended."

"Why not stay here for a few more days?"

Lu Xun did not answer and merely smiled.

Noticing that something was a little strange, Zhang Yu Han leaned forward and narrowed his eyes to get a closer look at his friend. "You seemed a little different." He paused as the waiter sent their drinks order to their table. "Something good happened to you?"

Lu Xun chuckled as he recalled that his assistant had said almost the same words this morning. 

He wondered if the look on his face was too obvious?

However, now that he was meeting his best friend, Lu Xun did not know whether he should share with his friend this good news.

After all, he was now dating Song Yi's cousin. Meanwhile, Song Yi's wife and Zhang Yu Han's wife are best friends. If he suddenly mentioned this news to his best friend, would he get shocked?

He lowered his gaze and spoke. "I'm seeing someone."

Zhang Yu Han looked at his friend in surprise. "Really?" He saw the smile on his friend's face and laughed. "That's good." He was around when Lu Xun go through that bad breakup. Now that he knew that his friend was finally moving on and was now seeing someone else, Zhang Yu Han was happy for his friend. "Who is that girl."

"I'll introduce her to you when you come to Capital City the next time."

"Why are you being so mysterious about it?" Zhang Yu Han raised his brow and took a sip from his drink.

"It has only been one day. I don't want to scare her."

The drinks spluttered out of his mouth. Zhang Yu Han grabbed the napkin on the table and wiped his mouth.

The two of them has only confirmed their relationship yesterday?

Zhang Yu Han stared at Lu Xun for a long time but in the end, he did not say a word.

"That's right, Yu Han, there's something I need you to help me with."

Zhang Yu Han snapped out of his thought. "Just speak."

Lu Xun reached into his pocket and took out a cheque. He slid it on the table and watched for his friend's reaction. 

Just as he had expected, Zhang Yu Han's expression began to change the moment he saw the name written on the cheque.

"You're giving this money to Shi An Na?" 

Lu Xun took a sip from his drink and nodded. "Hmm..."

"Why?"

"I met Shi An Na in T Country." Lu Xun sneered. 

"I've heard." Seeing that his friend was staring at him in surprise, Zhang Yu Han then explained, "You didn't go into the class chat group, so you wouldn't know about this. Shi An Na said that you have caused her to lose her job."

"How is that my fault? I did not even say a word about her."

"Mmm... I trust you."

"I didn't know why she was persistent and would always appear around me. This was the amount of money that she had given me in the past. I just hope that she knows that I did not want her to appear around me again," Lu Xun said.. "With this money, I hope that I can get a clean break with the past."
