You're My Only Star

After spending a couple of days with Huo Yun Chen's parents, the couple headed back to Capital City.

The Top Music Award will be held soon ad Huo Yun Chen will still need to practice before the big day. As Huo Yun Chen was busying himself with his preparation, Xia Yu decided to visit Song Xing Xing and the twin girls.

It has been a while since the last time she saw the girls. Surprisingly, the babies have grown up so much and were getting chubbier. These days, the babies had started to learn how to crawl. The moment they saw their chance, they would crawl around everywhere.

Song Xing Xing was enjoying her time looking after the girls, but now that they began to learn to crawl, Song Xing Xing began to feel tired.

Who would have thought that the girls could crawl so fast and it would be difficult to catch up with them? Fortunately, Lu Xun had hired a nanny to look after the girls. With extra help, it was not that difficult to look after them.

When Xia Yu entered the living room, the twin babies were chasing the cat around the house. They were crawling but their movement was very fast.

One of the twins stopped beside the coffee table. Her chubby body hit the table slightly and the impact was causing the potted plant on the table to waddle. Before the pot would fall on the floor, the grey cat had already jumped on the table to stop the potted floor from falling. 

"Meow." Mr. Fluffball raised his head and look at Song Xing Xing with an aggrieved expression.

His master had only left for a few seconds to open the door for the guest but the girls were already causing so much trouble. He was just a cat and it was difficult for him to look after the two girls at the same time.

Previously, Mr. Fluffball had thought that the twins were adorable and obedient. However, as they grew up, they become a pair of little troublemakers. His once quiet life changed. Every day, Mr. Fluffball would face a lot of excitement with the girls around. 

Looking at the girls, Mr. Fluffball was glad that he was only a male cat. If he had a few troublemakers on his own, it would definitely give him a headache.

"Xiao Jing, Xiao Xia, come over and look who came to see you," Song Xing Xing called. 

The moment the girls heard their mother's voice, they stopped whatever they were doing and turned to their mother.

Their lips stretched up into toothless smiles.

Lu Xia sat down and clapped her hands. Then, they both started to mumble some incoherent words.

"They grow up so much!' Xia Yu walked over and crouched down beside one of the girls to tease them. "Hello, what's your name?"

"That's Lu Jing." Song Xing Xing pointed out and sighed.

"Lu Jing? Do you remember this auntie?" Lu Xia smiled.

The little girl stared at Xia Yu and stretched her hand, wanting to touch her face.

Song Xing Xing lifted the girl and placed her back into the baby's playpen. "You girls are a bunch of troublemakers. The moment I let you out, you would run around the house, making trouble."

Lu Jing stared at her mother with her black, round eyes and started to babble. It was as if she was telling her mother that she was not a troublemaker.

However, her mother did not listen to her and still put her into the playpen.

Little Lu Jing could only sit in the playpen and pulled at the teddy bear that her father had bought for her. She glanced at the cat outside the playpen and started to bite at her toys.

It was not fair. 

Why did she have to stay inside while the cat can roam around freely? Aren't they the same? Since she had to stay in the playpen, then, the cat has to stay in the playpen as well.

The room was filled with the babies babbling as they were voicing their complaints.

Song Xing Xing picked up Lu Xia and placed her into the playpen as well. Seeing that the girls could not run around the house anymore, Song Xing Xing could finally breathe in relief.

"Xia Yu, sit down. Don't be so polite, " Song Xing Xing motioned for her to sit down on the sofa. "Sorry, the house is a little bit of a mess. The girls liked to play around the living room so much."

The auntie walked into the room and served some refreshments for the guest.

"Looking after the girls must be really tiring," Xia Yu said.

"Mmm... it is a bit tiring but I always love kids. Looking after them and watching them grow up is quite fulfilling."

Previously, Song Xing Xing had wanted to return to work after she had given birth to the babies. However, after being around her babies, she could not bear to be apart from them for a long time.

Lu Xun had taken her on a short vacation on a hot spring resort. Initially, she was still excited to have this break. However the moment the sky turned dark, Song Xing Xing could not stop thinking about the girls.

Fortunately, it was only a short vacation. The moment she arrived home, Song Xing Xing hugged the girls and let them sleep on the bed with her.

The father... could only retreat and spend a night in his study.

Xia Yu looked at the smile on Song Xing Xing's face and thought that she really does enjoy looking after the babies.

"Xia Yu, tomorrow, I will send someone over to pick you up." Song Xing Xing saw the puzzled look on Xia Yu's eyes and explained, "You're going to that award with Huo Yun Chen, right? He asked me to help you get a dress. I know a good place and had already made an appointment."

"Alright." Xia Yu thought about the award that she was going to attend with Huo Yun Chen and started to get anxious again.

This would be the first event where she will publicly show up with her boyfriend and she could not stop but worry.

"Don't worry." Song Xing Xing patted Xia Yu's shoulder.. "Whatever it is, I will be around with you."
