RoninKnight and MadLad weren't so lucky with their RNG on the second run. The enemy on the wall was way more than their first run, which slowed MadLad considerably.

In the end, they finished the run with 52 minutes and 18 seconds in time. Their respective SR, 94.5% for RoninKnight and 95.3% for MadLad, was also displayed after the run was finished.

It was still amazing, but both of them were dissatisfied with the result and returned to the main stage with sour expressions. MadLad even clicked his tongue and cursed in a low voice.

'Did he not realize that we're in Biozone Entertainment's program right now?' Max wondered.

He looked over at the production crew, and they shook their heads, clearly disliking MadLad after he cussed earlier.

'They probably need to censor that. Poor them.'

"That was amazing, everyone! What do you think of their run?" Evelyn asked the viewers with a cheerful voice.

— The RNG isn't on their side

— kekw, I laughed so hard when MadLad was trying his best and screaming loudly to breach through the barbarian army

Because this was the first pair, the viewers' reaction was mostly positive, although some laughed at MadLad's unlucky second attempt.

All in all, it was a successful first attempt.

'The viewers are increasing nicely. This is pretty good. Let's continue in this direction for a while.' Evelyn thought as she watched the count.

Reading the chat, Evelyn smiled and turned to the pair that returned to their chairs.

'Let's get moving. A short interview and then go to StoneSword and LilyPixel pair.' She thought and put up a cheerful front. 'As much as I hate someone with a dirty mouth, I must do my job.'

"That was amazing, RoninKnight and MadLad! How do you feel after finishing in the top 30?"

"Happy." RoninKnight answered shortly with a nod.

"Hahaha, we can do better. However, we were pretty unlucky with the second run, which made a mess. I had to admit if we got a good RNG, that would be easy!" MadLad puffed out his chest and grinned proudly, showing off.

Max could only hold his laughter. That 50-minute run would probably pale in comparison to StoneSword soon. But he couldn't say it out loud.

'Lily is able to wall run, so climbing that wall will probably only take her a few seconds compared to MadLad, who took more than 30 seconds. That's a big time safe, and she might choose to ignore the enemies and go straight to the tightrope with her agility.' He thought.

Evelyn seemed to like MadLad's confident personality and decided to focus on him instead of the quiet RoninKnight.

The after-game interview lasted only a few minutes. But that left MadLad happy and put a smile on his face. He even smirked at Max and Lily.

'Yeah, this guy is stupid.'

It was Max's opinion after observing MadLad for a while.

"Alright, let's go to the second pair! StoneSword and LilyPixel, are you ready to create a new record?!"

"I will play to the best of my ability." StoneSword answered as he stood up and held his wrist, "Of course, my aim is to break our own record and make sure no one can break it." He finished his sentence and turned to Max.

"Oooh! That's the spirit! What about you, LilyPixel?"

"Un… I will do my best. And I won't lose." She raised her fists on her chests, pumping herself up. Her gesture looked cute and made the chat go crazy once more.

— Aaahh! So cute!

— Be my little sister! My house is big!

— Hehehe, I want one Lily at home! I meant two! One for cuddle, one for display!

— She's not a toy, guys!

— Yes, she's a doll!!

Reading the chat, Lily's expression morphed into disgust without hiding it. She tugged StoneSword's sleeve and pulled him to the VR capsule, urging him to go fast so she couldn't read the chat.

Max noticed Lily glanced at him with a competitive gaze before she disappeared into the capsule. He smirked and crossed his arms.

Noticing his behavior, Evelyn also smirked and threw a question.

"Now, should we expect something from this pair? Does anyone here have something interesting to say?" Her gaze landed on Max. She clearly wanted him to say something.

Without getting disturbed by her obvious bait, Max said calmly.

"With a good RNG, they probably will be able to break the record. LilyPixel once showed me something interesting, and I think she will use it in this run. We will see."

'He's good with words.' Evelyn nodded at him. 'And he keeps the suspense alive. Now I know why Mr. Taka takes a liking to him. The question is… whether he will be able to deliver in his turn later.'

"I see. So it's like a secret weapon or trick? Hahaha, that's really interesting!" She giggled playfully and looked at the screen.

The production crew gave a cue that the new pair was ready.

"Well then, everyone. This is the pair that you look forward to. Give a nice applause for StoneSword and LilyPixel!!"

StoneSword and Lily's fans began to donate a ridiculous amount of money without a message. Everyone, even Flexy, was stunned when they saw such donations pouring in without paying attention.

An audible gulp even rang from MadLad. He was stunned seeing how many diamonds this stream collected. Everyone else's attention was also grabbed by the donations train.

However, Max's attention was somewhere else. He didn't care about the donations that weren't directed at him personally. On the screen, StoneSword and Lily appeared in the clearing and moved immediately.

Their RNG wasn't that good. The first barbarian army was on a bigger scale than usual. For a normal player, this was bad. Speedrunners usually would just reset if they got this RNG.

But, the pairs couldn't reset in this program and could only do whatever they could to finish as fast as possible.

"Lily!" StoneSword shouted as he unsheathed two swords from his waist. He dual-wielded them and plunged into the middle of the enemy formation. "Just leave it to me."

"Alright."

Their cooperation was clearly better than the previous pair. Not to mention their trust.

Without doubting his words, Lily ran toward the hill to climb the wall. Her movement was fast, and she dodged the incoming arrows gracefully.

On this battlefield, her figure looked like a dancer. She was beautiful and captivating, but no one could touch her from afar.

In just a few seconds, she reached the highest part of the hill and jumped.

"She jumped!" Evelyn commented loudly as she was surprised by Lily's movement.

Lily's feet touched the wall, and she began to run to the top. Everyone knew what this movement was called. Wall run! She could do a wall run that only Breeze had managed to pull off perfectly so far.
